Winchester will come alive with community spirit on Saturday, December 7, as the Winchester Elks Lodge #2816 hosts a buffet-style breakfast fundraiser to support the Clark County Animal Shelter. The event, open to the general public, will take place from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the lodge’s location on 255 Shoppers Drive.
For an entry fee of $12, attendees can indulge in a hearty menu featuring eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, pancakes with syrup, and a choice of coffee, milk, juice, or soft drinks. The fundraiser aims to raise essential funds for the animal shelter, which is located at 5000 Ironworks Road.
In addition to the entry fee, the community is encouraged to contribute items needed by the animal shelter. Suggested donations include trash bags, zip loc bags, dog and cat food, treats, litter, peanut butter, towels, and linens. Items such as printer paper and laundry soap are also welcomed to assist the shelter’s operations.
This event not only highlights the significance of community involvement but also serves as a crucial support system for the local animal shelter and the pets in need of care. As families and friends gather for a delicious breakfast, they are invited to contribute both financially and materially to this worthy cause.
Those interested in sharing a meal and making a positive impact should mark their calendars for this exciting event.
