LEXINGTON, Ky. — West Sixth Brewing is set to launch its first-ever haunted tour this Halloween, blending local history with spooky thrills in a unique brewery experience. The event is scheduled for Halloween Night, Thursday, October 31, with multiple time slots available for participants.
As a staple in the Lexington community for over a decade, West Sixth Brewing has always embraced local culture and festivities. This year, in celebration of spooky season, the brewery is taking a step further with a haunted tour crafted by its passionate production team. “We are anticipating a very spooky Halloween night,” said Kelly Hieronymus, marketing & creative director at West Sixth Brewing.
The DIY haunted experience will guide guests through the brewery’s expansive warehouse, featuring a maze made up of more than one million beer cans. Along the way, participants will learn about the brewery’s intriguing past, which includes its historic building that was once a medical document storage facility, and a bakery with a reputation for being haunted. “This back warehouse space was added on in the 90’s. It was actually medical document storage back here,” Hieronymus explained.
With a focus on local lore, the tour incorporates elements of the brewery’s history while providing a touch of fright. Guests will traverse from the haunted warehouse area to the tap room, where additional Halloween surprises await. Hieronymus noted the effort put into creating this event comes from all brewery employees, as they aim to offer a fun but feasible experience.
This unique tour reflects West Sixth Brewing’s commitment to community engagement and showcases their team’s love for the Halloween spirit. With a limited cast and an emphasis on creativity, the haunted tour promises to blend fright with the brewery’s celebrated beer offerings.
For those interested in experiencing the West Sixth Haunted Tour, registration is available for various time slots on Halloween night. The event not only aims to entertain but also to tell a story rich with local significance, inviting participants to embrace the spooky season in a memorable way.
