UPS to Hire Nearly 400 Seasonal Workers in Lexington for ‘Brown Friday’ Event

LEXINGTON, Ky. — UPS is gearing up to hire nearly 400 seasonal employees in Lexington as part of its annual ‘Brown Friday’ event, set to take place this weekend. This initiative is part of a broader effort nationwide, with the company anticipating the recruitment of at least 60,000 seasonal workers through events commencing November 1. The purpose of these hires is to bolster its workforce in preparation for a brief holiday shipping season.

During the ‘Brown Friday’ event, the hiring process is notably streamlined. Approximately 75 percent of the positions available do not require an interview, allowing most job seekers to receive an offer in less than ten minutes. This expedited process is designed to attract a larger pool of applicants in a relatively short timeframe.

Those interested in exploring employment opportunities with UPS in Lexington can take part in a virtual information session scheduled for November 1. This session will provide insights into available roles and the hiring process. For those unable to attend, applications can still be submitted online at UPSjobs.com.

As the holiday season approaches, UPS is making significant efforts to prepare for an increase in shipping demands. The hiring of seasonal employees plays a crucial role in ensuring packages are delivered efficiently during this peak period. Interested individuals are encouraged to act quickly, given the limited timeframe for application and recruitment.
