Candidate D for Vice Provost to Participate in an Open Forum at the University of Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Amidst an intense national search for a new vice provost, the University of Kentucky will welcome four finalists for a series of forums and meetings on campus.

A Diverse and Accomplished Pool of Candidates

The diverse and talented pool of finalists will participate in various forums to present and interact with members of the UK community. All individuals within the university are encouraged to attend these forums and partake in the selection process. For those unable to be physically present, access to a live stream via Zoom will be provided.

The fourth candidate, referred to as Candidate D, is scheduled to participate in an open forum taking place at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15 at the Britt Brockman Senate Chamber of the Gatton Student Center.

Community Engagement and Confidential Feedback

Only within 24 hours of the forum, the candidates’ names and CVs will be disclosed solely to the UK community on the search website. Following each forum, a recording of the event will be available for 48 hours alongside a confidential survey about the candidate. This would allow the university’s community to provide feedback on the candidates’ strengths and areas of improvement.

For those forums taking place on Thursdays, the recorded forum and respective confidential surveys will be available until 5 p.m. the subsequent Saturday. Supervisors throughout the university are urged to accommodate their team members, allowing them to participate as much as feasible in these forums.

The Selection Process

UK Provost, Robert S. DiPaola, is spearheading the committee responsible for conducting the rigorous search process. The final selection will be made after the provost reviews the feedback gathered from the committee and the campus at large.
