Schedule set for 2024 UK Healthcare/KHSAA Boys Sweet 16
The renowned and anticipated UK Healthcare/KHSAA Boys Sweet 16 is all set to roll next week, with the schedule and the teams being announced. The games will be played at Rupp Arena in Lexington from March 20-23.
It is an exciting time for basketball fans and Louisville-area teams in particular, with the Sixth Region champion Evangel Christian, Seventh Region titlist Trinity and Eighth region winner Spencer County in the field.
Top Teams Battle for Sweet 16 Glory
In the line-up, there are six of the top-15 teams from the final Kentucky High School Basketball Media Poll: No. 1 Great Crossing, No. 3 Newport, No. 4 Lyon County, No. 6 Trinity, No. 9 Evangel Christian and No. 12 Harlan County.
The defending champion, Warren Central, despite having a rocky road to the tournament, managed to secure its place after a 64-57 overtime upset victory against Bowling Green in Tuesday’s Fourth Region final.

1:30 p.m. – Evangel Christian vs. Butler County

Friday, March 22:
The day will see quarterfinals featuring the winners from Wednesday and Thursday’s games.
Saturday, March 23:
The final day of the event will host the semifinals games at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., culminating with the championship final at 7:30 p.m.
