Lexington, Ky. is experiencing significant traffic disruptions this morning due to multiple vehicular accidents reported across the city. Emergency crews are currently responding to several incidents that are affecting morning commuters.
The first major incident occurred at approximately 8:50 a.m. on the inner loop of Man O War Blvd. at Clays Mill Road. At this time, injuries have been reported, although the extent of those injuries remains unknown.
Earlier in the morning, at 8:25 a.m., another crash was reported on the I-75 Southbound at the exit for Man O War Blvd. (Exit 108). Like the previous incident, injuries have been noted, but further information regarding their severity has not yet been disclosed.
Further complicating traffic flow, a crash involving a Lextran bus occurred just after 8 a.m. on S Broadway at Virginia Ave. The right lane is currently blocked, reducing inbound traffic to one lane. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported from this incident.
Additionally, a school bus was involved in a collision on Versailles Road at Parkers Mill Road. This incident took place shortly after 8 a.m. and blocked the left turn lane. The roadway was cleared and reopened around 8:30 a.m., with no injuries noted.
A single-car crash was also reported around 8:20 a.m. today, alongside another crash at Pleasant Ridge Drive and Justice Drive that occurred at 8:40 a.m.. Both incidents did not result in any injuries.
Authorities are continuing to assess the situation across the city. Motorists are advised to exercise caution and seek alternative routes if possible, as these incidents could lead to prolonged traffic delays during the morning commute.
