Lexington, Ky. – Lexington Police responded to Medlock Road late Saturday night following reports of a shooting. Officers arrived on the scene shortly after 11 p.m. and encountered two individuals engaged in a dangerous situation.
Upon arrival, law enforcement found one person firing shots into the air while another attempted to intervene and stop the actions. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.
The individual firing the weapon, identified as Brandon Randolph, was arrested at the scene. He faces multiple charges, including four counts of wanton endangerment. The primary concern for police was the potential danger posed to bystanders and the community due to the reckless behavior.
Randolph’s arraignment is set for Monday at 1 p.m., where he will face the charges against him. Police are continuing their investigation to ensure the safety of the surrounding area and to deter similar incidents in the future.
