Lexington, Ky. — A shooting incident on Alydar Court has left one individual with life-threatening injuries on Tuesday evening, according to the Lexington Police Department. Authorities received a call regarding the shooting around 8 p.m. and promptly dispatched officers to the scene.
Upon arrival, police learned that the victim had already transported themselves to St. Joe East Hospital. Following initial treatment, the victim was subsequently transferred to UK Hospital for further care.
The police indicated that the situation stemmed from a physical disorder that escalated, resulting in shots being fired. The person believed to be the shooter remained at the location and is currently being interviewed by law enforcement officials.
As of now, police have not determined whether criminal charges will be filed in connection with this incident. Investigations are ongoing, and further information is expected to be released as the authorities gather more details.
