ScareFest Celebrates 16 Years of Horror with Thrilling Lineup in Lexington, KY

Lexington, KY is preparing for a thrilling celebration of horror as ScareFest gears up for its 16th annual convention. From October 18 to 20, the Central Bank Center is set to transform into a hotspot for horror enthusiasts, offering a plethora of activities and celebrity appearances for fans of all ages.

This year’s event is expected to attract visitors from around the world, establishing ScareFest as a top destination for horror and paranormal aficionados. According to Nicole Griffith, co-owner of ScareFest, the convention will feature over 20 simultaneous activities ensuring that every member of the family finds something of interest.

The lineup includes reunions with stars from the iconic “Scream” franchise, showcasing actors such as Matthew Lillard, Skeet Ulrich, and Rose McGowan. These actors are set to celebrate the film’s legacy, with Lillard also participating in photo opportunities with former co-star Shannon Elizabeth.

In a remarkable gathering, this year’s ScareFest will feature multiple actors portraying legendary horror villains. Fans will have the chance to meet five different versions of Michael Myers, six iterations of Jason Voorhees, and six interpretations of Leatherface. Actor R.A. Mihailoff, who donned the mask for “Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre III,” expressed excitement about reconnecting with fellow franchise actors.

ScareFest will also highlight classic horror films with mini-reunions featuring cast members from “Phantasm” and “Fright Night”, as well as a trio from the groundbreaking “The Blair Witch Project”.

Special appearances include influential horror creator Clive Barker, giving attendees a rare opportunity to meet the mind behind acclaimed works such as “Hellraiser” and “Candyman”. Actor Devon Sawa, known for his role in “Final Destination”, will also connect with fans.

Event organizers promise a variety of thrilling attractions for attendees. This includes photo opportunities with vehicles from movies like “Christine” and “Jeepers Creepers”. Additionally, attendees can participate in horror-themed podcasts and exclusive ghost hunts hosted by well-known paranormal figures.

ScareFest is not only a convention; it’s a vibrant community engaging fans through various activities, including a kids day on Sunday, film festival, tattoo expo, and a diverse vendor market. Tickets range from $30 to $75, making it accessible for all who wish to join the festivities.
