Driver Hospitalized After Serious Accident on Russell Cave Road

Lexington, Ky. — A driver was hospitalized following a serious accident on Russell Cave Road early Thursday morning. The incident occurred around 1 a.m. when the driver’s vehicle collided with a utility pole, resulting in the car flipping and coming to rest on its roof.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported the injured driver to a local hospital. According to authorities, the driver is expected to make a full recovery. The crash prompted a temporary closure of Russell Cave Road as utility crews worked to repair the damaged pole and clear debris.

Traffic on Russell Cave Road has since resumed, with normal flow restored. The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash, but further details have not been released at this time.
