Traffic Incident Between SUV and Garbage Truck Results in Minor Injuries and Reckless Driving Citation

LEXINGTON, Ky. — A traffic incident involving an SUV and a privately owned garbage truck caused minor injuries and led to one driver being cited for reckless driving on Friday afternoon.

The crash occurred at approximately 3:39 p.m. on the off-ramp of New Circle Road at Leestown Road. The Lexington Police Department reported that they received a call regarding a vehicle being operated recklessly just moments before the collision took place.

Upon arrival, authorities confirmed that the SUV driver sustained minor injuries. Subsequently, police cited the driver for reckless driving as part of their investigation into the circumstances leading up to the accident.
