Litter of Newborn Puppies Found Abandoned and Burnt
Thirteen tiny puppies were found in a horrifying condition near the intersection of Todd’s Road and North Cleveland Road this Wednesday. The puppies, estimated to be just eight to nine days old, had apparently been set on fire and left to die. Sadly, despite urgent veterinary care, all the puppies succumbed to their injuries.

“It’s one thing to abandon puppies on the side of the road; that’s horrible in itself, but what is truly evil about this is that somebody intentionally set this litter of puppies on fire,” said Animal Cruelty Investigator Lt. Jai Hamilton. The gravity of this act of cruelty extends beyond animal abuse. Indeed, violence against animals is often an indicator of potential violence against fellow humans. “Anyone that is capable of doing this to animals is absolutely capable of doing this to other people, and so we need to be able to catch this person and hold them accountable”, added Hamilton.
