Eckert’s Orchard Welcomes Visitors for Pick-Your-Own Peaches and Blackberries Season

Pick-Your-Own Peaches and Blackberries at Eckert’s

Lovers of natural and refreshing produce in Lexington, have good reason to rejoice as Eckert’s Orchard comes alive with its enticing offering of pick-your-own peaches and blackberries this weekend.

A Fruitful Weekend Getaway

Though the much-anticipated strawberry season has drawn to a close, there are still plenty of reasons to set course for the stunning fields of Eckert’s. Blackberries and peaches are abundantly on offer and ripe for the picking. The fruitful experience begins at 9 a.m., with the last wagon setting off at 5 p.m., from Tuesday through Sunday.

This past Father’s Day, the farm had a little extra sparkle. Family-friendly festivities included delightful donut tastings and a Porsche exhibition hosted by the Bluegrass Porsche Club, making it a perfect outing for everyone in the family.

Farm Manager’s Take on the Event

Excited as always to greet and treat visitors, Farm Manager, Megan Fields, highlights the farm’s key offering. “So yesterday was the first day for pick your own peaches and blackberries; we just finished up strawberry season,” said Fields.“It just means a lot to see these families and folks come out, girlfriends come out, and just hangout. And enjoy the farm, and the beauty of the farm and get to take home a good quality product.”

Expecting a Swell in Visitors

With the new offering, the farm expects to see close to five thousand people visiting over the season. Amid fruit picking, guests could also take pleasure in live music, food trucks, and the refreshing beverages of Country Boy Brewing.

Upcoming Events at Eckert’s

In a bid to keep the momentum, Eckert’s is prepping for another notable event. The farm is set to host a special date night on June 22, offering another opportunity for visitors to make the most of the season while it lasts.

Conclusion

The pick-your-own peaches and blackberries season at Eckert’s assures a wholesome family experience with quality produce, picturesque setting, and great events. It indeed offers a splendid way for city dwellers to stay connected with nature and the farming traditions.
