Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle in Lexington, Investigation Underway

LEXINGTON, Ky. — A tragic incident has resulted in the death of 72-year-old Kennith Varney from Lexington after he was struck by a vehicle. The collision occurred on November 17 at approximately 7:17 p.m. on Lane Allen Road, near the intersection with Harrodsburg Road.

According to a report from the Fayette County Coroner’s Office, Varney succumbed to his injuries at 4:46 p.m. on November 18. The report confirmed that he died due to blunt trauma injuries resulting from the motor vehicle collision.

The incident remains under investigation by the Lexington Police Department. Details regarding the events leading up to the collision have not been released, and further information is expected as authorities continue their inquiry.
