According to the Fayette County Coroner’s Office, Mr. Jacob Payne, aged 27, lost his life due to the severe blunt-force injuries he sustained after being hit by a vehicle.

Upon receiving reports of an injury crash around midnight at Newtown Pike and Maple Lane in Lexington, local law enforcement rushed to the scene. On arrival, they found a terrible incident had occurred involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. The pedestrian, now known to be Mr. Payne, was pronounced dead at the scene.
