Lexington will soon welcome a new dining option with the opening of Papi’s Mexican Restaurant and Bar in the Citation Point Shopping Center on March 5, 2023. The restaurant marks the fourth location for the popular Mexican eatery, further expanding its presence in the local market.

The restaurant will be located in Citation Point, conveniently positioned near Lexington’s first Publix grocery store, just off Citation Boulevard. Specifically, the new Papi’s is situated at 1988 Stockton Way, at the end of the shopping center near Georgetown Road.

Owner Marcos Valdez, who also runs Papi’s Rapido on South Broadway, has stated that his goal is to have the Citation Point location officially opened this spring. The new establishment boasts approximately 4,210 square feet of dining space, making it larger than the Fountains of Palomar location and capable of accommodating up to 200 guests at a time.

The menu at the Citation Point location will closely resemble that of the existing Chevy Chase and Palomar establishments. However, there will be notable differences, including a patio that offers extensive outdoor seating. Additionally, a full bar will serve as the centerpiece of the restaurant, enhancing the dining experience.

Papi’s Mexican Restaurant will operate for lunch and dinner, with operating hours set from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. The addition of the new restaurant further enriches the already vibrant dining scene in Lexington’s Northside, where several other eateries, including 7 Brew Coffee, City Barbeque, and Panda Express, have also made their homes.

The expansion of Papi’s Mexican Restaurant into Citation Point represents both a growth opportunity for the brand and a new dining option for local residents. Those interested in learning more about the menu and offerings at the new location can visit the official website at papislex.com.

This latest venture by Papi’s reflects the ongoing trend of culinary development within Lexington, providing residents and visitors with a diversity of dining choices that cater to various tastes. As the restaurant prepares for its grand opening, it is set to become a popular destination for those seeking flavorful and authentic Mexican cuisine.

With construction nearing completion, excitement continues to build in the community as residents look forward to marking their calendars for the opening day on March 5. The addition of Papi’s Mexican Restaurant is poised to enhance the dining landscape in the region, contributing to the growth and continued appeal of Citation Point as a prime shopping and culinary hub.
