New Ice Cream Haven Little Spoon Creamery Set to Open in Richmond on September 13

New Ice Cream Haven Opens in Richmond!

Richmond is bubbling with excitement as a delightful new dessert destination prepares to open its doors! Little Spoon Creamery, a charming shop that specializes in ice cream, coffee, and other sweet treats, is set to launch on September 13. Now, ice cream lovers won’t have to trek all the way to Lexington to indulge in the delightful flavors of Crank & Boom Craft Ice Cream.

All About the Creamery

Located at 2055 Lantern Ridge, Little Spoon Creamery promises to bring a unique, local experience to the Richmond community. With plans to be open every day—Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday until 11 p.m.—there’ll always be a scoop ready for you, whenever the craving strikes!

To kick things off, the first 100 customers walking through the doors will be rewarded with a free scoop of ice cream, and everyone can enjoy a complimentary topping all weekend long. What a sweet way to celebrate the opening!

What’s on the Menu?

Little Spoon will feature a range of 12 delectable flavors from Crank & Boom’s famous collection, ensuring that Richmond residents can savor their favorites without traveling far. Not only will scoops be available, but customers can also purchase pints to enjoy at home.

The shop won’t just serve ice cream; they’ll also offer house-made soft-serve in four mouth-watering flavors. Curious about the pricing? A single scoop will run you $6, and a double scoop is $8. Want to take the plunge and try a few different flavors? A flight of four scoops is available for just $15.

Craving something extra special? Soft-serve concoctions—like S’mores or Apple Pie—start at $7, while classic cookies and brownies will also be on hand. And don’t forget about the sundaes and milkshakes! Coffee lovers, rejoice! The café will serve up coffee drinks, including a delightful affogato (that’s coffee topped with ice cream) for $7.

A Unique Partnership

Saad Ahmed, the owner of Little Spoon Creamery and an Atlanta-based entrepreneur, got inspired during a visit to Lexington. After enjoying Crank & Boom with friends, he remarked, “This would be great if we could do something like this in a shop.” And now that dream is becoming a reality!

Working alongside Crank & Boom’s owners, Toa and Mike Green, Ahmed aims to curate a menu that’s both familiar and unique to Little Spoon. Toa expressed enthusiasm about expanding their reach into Richmond, stating, “There is a thriving community in Richmond, and the location is a fantastic spot to have a local ice cream place.”

This partnership marks a new chapter for Crank & Boom, as they step into a wholesale relationship with Little Spoon. “We’ve never offered our product to another operator in this way where they will be scooping our ice cream,” Toa explained. While they’re always open to more locations, the focus remains on family for now.

Ready for Sweeter Days Ahead

Ice cream aficionados in Richmond can anticipate something truly special at Little Spoon Creamery. From creative ice cream flavors to cozy coffee drinks, this shop is sure to become a beloved spot for both locals and visitors. Don’t miss out on the grand opening festivities, and prepare for charming memories filled with sweet treats just around the corner!
