Lexington, KY – A new health care clinic has opened its doors in Hamburg, offering high-quality primary care to families in the area. The UK HealthCare – Hamburg clinic, located at 2700 Old Rosebud Road, Suite 110, is set to be a medical hub, providing a myriad of services to patients of all ages within the vicinity and beyond.
UK HealthCare – Hamburg clinic offers a vast range of services from physical checks to chronic disease management, and medication management, catering to the diverse health needs of its patients. “In Family and Community Medicine, we see the entire family, newborns, and up,” said Ginny Gottschalk, M.D., the chair of the UK College of Medicine’s Department of Family and Community Medicine.
The clinic’s providers aim at offering comprehensive acute care for illnesses and injuries, chronic care management for diseases like diabetes and high blood pressure, and preventive care like cancer screenings, pap tests, and well-child visits. “We are a one-stop-shop for all of your family’s health care needs,” emphasized Dr. Gottschalk.
UK HealthCare – Hamburg was initiated to primarily serve the Hamburg community, with particular emphasis on UK employees residing in the area. Clinic timing is from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Appointments can be made by calling 859-257-6200.
This is just one part of UK HealthCare’s initiative to broaden their primary health care services in central Kentucky. This year alone, they have opened three new primary care clinics while strengthening existing locations. It shows a deep commitment to reaching out to more communities and offering appropriate health care based on patient needs, family history, and preferences.
This clinic isn’t UK HealthCare’s only development within the Hamburg area, which hosts some of the largest concentrations of UK employees. Another key project in the pipeline is a new outpatient medical facility to be launched in the future Hamburg East development.
UK HealthCare stands as a significant name in the health sector of the University of Kentucky. It is composed of more than 10,000 dedicated health care professionals providing advanced subspecialty care for the most critically injured and ill patients not just from Kentucky, but also from beyond. UK HealthCare also hosts Kentucky’s top hospital as ranked by the U.S. News & World Report and is home to the state’s only National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. As an academic research institution, it is continuously pursuing the development of new-generation cures, treatments, protocols, and policies with significant potential to change the future of medical possibilities.
