Motorcycle Accident in Lexington Claims Life of 38-Year-Old Man

Lexington, Kentucky – A tragic motorcycle accident claimed the life of 38-year-old James Edward Reed Jr. on Tuesday morning. The Fayette County Coroner has reported that Reed died due to multiple blunt force and penetrating traumatic injuries sustained in the collision.

The crash occurred around 7:19 a.m. on Versailles Road. Lexington police arrived at the scene shortly after the incident, where they discovered Reed unresponsive. The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash was reportedly uninjured.

Traffic in the area was significantly disrupted as two lanes in both directions of Versailles Road, between Wellesley Heights Way and New Circle Road, were closed due to debris from the crash. Crews remained on-site in the late morning hours to clear the roadway, with the Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As of now, police have not released further details regarding the cause of the crash or the identities of other individuals involved. Local authorities advise commuters to exercise caution and seek alternate routes while the investigation continues.
