With Mother’s Day dawning upon us, various businesses are gearing up to keep pace with the expected rush of customers, eager to honor and present their mothers with tokens of love. Among the businesses buzzing with activity, flower shops stand out prominently as they brace for what is their second most crucial holiday after Valentine’s Day.
In Lexington, KY, local favorite, Imperial Flowers, is one such shop buzzing with life. The shop had a staggering number of orders for Mother’s Day this year. So much so, that they began delivering arrangements a couple of days in advance. Friday saw the staff immersed in a frenzy of activity, getting orders ready way past closing time.
As per Bryan, a dedicated florist at the shop, managing the overflow of orders has been quite a task. “We’ve had hundreds of orders,” said Bryan. “I think 350 plus walk-ins, and overflow, it’s tough. We’ve been really busy from Monday where we’ve had to book, so we had to push it to the next week. Yeah, we’ve been really busy.“
Despite the hectic schedule, Bryan and the rest of the team are ready and raring to deliver stunning arrangements to their customers, spreading love and joy on this special occasion.
What’s notable about all this dizzying activity is that it underscores the importance of shopping local, a cause Bryan is particularly passionate about. Bryan urges people to consider local businesses when ordering flower arrangements for special occasions, like Mother’s Day. He emphasizes that it not only benefits the local economy but also ensures fresher, more beautiful arrangements for customers.
The smallest of gestures can often make the biggest of impacts. And what better way to express love and gratitude towards the women who raised us than a handcrafted, heartfelt flower arrangement? Local flower shops, like Imperial Flowers, are often where people find the most exquisite, special, and thoughtful gifts for their mothers. Especially when it’s made with a touch of local flavor, magic, and love.
And so, amidst the hustle and bustle of pre-Mother’s Day activity, it’s these small local businesses that help express the immeasurable love and gratitude individuals feel for their mothers. Through vibrant colors, rich textures, and refreshing fragrances, they help make Mother’s Day that much more magical, making moms everywhere feel extra special.
