Anticipating High Foot Traffic in Blue Grass Airport

Blue Grass Airport has indicated that they are bracing for a significant surge in passenger traffic this year. With an expected increase of about 15-20%, the airport could potentially see their busiest weekends in recent times. The airport has introduced a couple of new routes over the past year, including non-stop flights to Las Vegas and daily flights to Denver. Passengers have been advised to plan their travel accordingly, to avoid any last-minute hitches.

“We urge all travelers to give themselves a generous 90-minute cushion before their flight. It’s also a good idea to download the mobile app of your airline to stay updated on your flight status,” advised a community relations representative.

Journey on the Roads

It’s not only the skies that are expecting to be busier; roads are also expected to witness a significant increase in traffic. According to an estimation, more than 500,000 Kentuckians are set to travel during the long weekend, which accounts for about 11% of the state’s total population. Astonishingly, 86% of this number is expected to use cars for travel.

Thus, experts implore travelers to ensure their vehicles are well-maintained before embarking on their journey. Along with adequate maintenance, managing expectations about potential traffic congestion is also recommended. It is essential to remain focussed during the drive, avoiding any possible distractions.
