Man Arrested After Allegedly Holding Driver at Gunpoint in Lexington Incident

LEXINGTON, Ky. – A man is facing multiple charges after allegedly holding a driver at gunpoint, according to local police. The incident occurred when Bradford Lyvers entered the passenger seat of a vehicle that had come to a stop at a stop sign.

Police report that Lyvers directed the driver to take him to another location, raising alarm for both the driver and witnesses in the area. Authorities later located Lyvers on Fourth Street, where he reportedly attempted to evade capture by fleeing on an electric scooter.

Officers managed to apprehend Lyvers on Ohio Street without any reported injuries to the driver or bystanders. The suspect is now facing several serious charges, including unlawful imprisonment, resisting arrest, wanton endangerment, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

This incident has raised concerns about public safety and the risk of firearm-related crimes. The investigation remains ongoing as police work to gather additional evidence and statements from the involved parties. Authorities urge anyone with further information to come forward.

Lyvers is expected to appear in court in the coming days to answer the charges against him. The police have emphasized the importance of community vigilance and reporting suspicious activities.
