LEXINGTON, Ky. — A local man was arrested Saturday morning and is facing multiple charges, including wanton endangerment, for allegedly brandishing a firearm during a conflict.
According to an arrest citation, the incident began around 7:45 a.m. when Bradford Lyvers repeatedly knocked on the door of a residence on Winburn Drive. When the homeowner answered the door and asked him to stop, an argument ensued. This escalated when Lyvers allegedly pulled out a handgun, prompting the homeowner to flee the scene. By the time police arrived, Lyvers had already left.
Approximately two hours later, authorities received further reports regarding Lyvers. He reportedly forced his way into a vehicle at a stop sign, then pointed a handgun at the driver. He allegedly commanded her to drive to a nearby Thorntons Gas Station located on North Broadway.
Police later located Lyvers riding an electric scooter on Fourth Street. When officers attempted to detain him, he fled the scene. Following a brief pursuit, he was apprehended on Ohio Street. During a subsequent search, police discovered a Glock 26 handgun, reported by a K-9 unit.
Lyvers has been booked into the Fayette County Detention Center and is now facing several charges stemming from these incidents.
