Local Seven-Year-Old Competes for National American Miss Princess Title in Orlando

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Seven-year-old Isabella Bryant is representing her city in a national pageant as she competes for the prestigious National American Miss Princess title in Orlando, Florida. Isabella was crowned Miss Lexington earlier this year and is now taking the stage, showcasing her talents and determination.

In an interview via Zoom with her father, Chris Bryant, the proud parent expressed immense joy and pride in Isabella’s journey. “It’s kind of surreal. Seeing her up on that spotlight is so heartwarming,” he stated, reflecting on the emotional experience of watching his daughter pursue her passion.

Isabella’s interest in pageantry was sparked by watching a competitive fashion show, which has since led her to pursue her dreams in this field. Chris Bryant noted that although Isabella has only been competing for two years, she has already shown significant growth and confidence on stage.

The pageant experience extends beyond the dazzling outfits and makeup; it fosters important skills such as public speaking, people skills, and overall maturity. “We want to support our children and let them try it,” said Chris, emphasizing that participation in pageants can greatly benefit young girls by preparing them for the real world.

According to Chris, the National American Miss pageant is unique in its approach, focusing on positivity and personal development rather than the typical glitz associated with pageantry. Contestants are encouraged to appear in casual and formal wear while developing their speaking and presentation skills.

This week-long event will include a series of activities such as introductions, interviews, and formal wear showcases, culminating in final judging on Friday. As Isabella continues her journey, the bond between father and daughter grows stronger, with the experiences they share becoming cherished memories.

With the competition in full swing, the community of Lexington watches closely, cheering for Isabella as she aims to bring home not just a title, but pride for her home state.
