Lexington Weekend Events: Concerts, Cultural Celebrations, and Family Fun Await

Lexington is set to burst with a plethora of events this weekend, catering to a diverse array of interests from live music to family-friendly activities. From Friday, November 8 through Sunday, November 10, locals and visitors alike will have the opportunity to engage in a series of exciting happenings.

On Friday, the much-anticipated Jelly Roll concert will take center stage at Rupp Arena starting at 7 p.m. Tickets for the show, part of the rapper’s “Beautifully Broken” tour, are available for purchase, with prices beginning at $33.

Also on November 8, country music supergroup Blackhawk will perform at Chenault Vineyards in Richmond at 6 p.m., while stand-up comedian Josh Pray will entertain audiences at Comedy Off Broadway with shows at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

The arts will be well represented as well, with the production of Disney’s “Frozen Jr.” taking place at Lexington Opera House at 7 p.m. Additionally, the UK volleyball team will compete against Texas A&M at Memorial Coliseum at the same time.

Saturday promises to be just as packed. The Lexington Farmers Market returns to Henry A. Tandy Centennial Park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., while the Festival Latino and Health Fair is scheduled at Masterson Station Park from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., bringing cultural celebrations and free health screenings to the community.

In terms of entertainment, Winnie the Pooh will have performances at the Lexington Children’s Theatre at 2 p.m., and the UK men’s basketball team will face off against the Bucknell Bison later at 4 p.m. at Rupp Arena.

On Sunday, the Kentucky Castle will host a delightful Nutcracker-themed brunch featuring performances from the Lexington Ballet, set from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. An annual Cider Fest will take place at Wise Bird Cider from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

From arts and crafts to sports and food, Lexington is creating an engaging atmosphere that encourages community participation and enjoyment across the region this weekend.
