Early Morning Incident: Gunshots Fired in Lexington Lead to Non-Fatal Injuries, Suspect Still at Large

Early Morning Shooting in Lexington Leaves One Injured

Lexington, Kentucky – A white house on Carver Road awoke to the sounds of gunfire early this Friday morning. The Lexington Police were swiftly on scene following a 911 call reporting shots fired in the vicinity around 6:20 a.m.

As per the police report, the officers were not able to identify a suspect or victim upon their arrival. However, shortly after, an adult male with gunshot wounds arrived at a nearby hospital. Fortunately, the injuries he sustained are reported to be non-life-threatening.

Police Looking for Leads

In their official statement, the Lexington Police announced: “When officers arrived, they did not locate a victim or suspect. A short time later, an adult male walked into a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.”

The victim, whose identity remains withheld for safety reasons, was able to speak to the authorities. He stated that the shooting transpired while he was in a vehicle on Hollow Creek Road. The officers are now processing this lead and diligently working to validate his claims.

This incident is currently under active investigation. The Lexington Police have issued a public appeal for anyone with knowledge or evidence related to the shooting to come forward.

In response to this incident, members of the Lexington community are expressing shock and concern. Several cautionary measures like temporary lockdowns have been issued, and weather advisories are being closely monitored. The situation remains tense with the closure of the 600 block of Carver Road due to police activity.
