Lexington, Ky. – A shooting in Lexington resulted in the death of a 25-year-old man identified as Chance Gist. The incident occurred on Saturday night, shortly before 9 p.m. in the 1500 block of North Limestone. Gist was found with a gunshot wound and was subsequently transported to the UK Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities are treating the shooting as a homicide. The Fayette County Coroner confirmed Gist’s identity following the incident. Lexington Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting and are appealing to the public for assistance.
