Lexington Police Investigate Gunpoint Robbery Linked to Body Found in Scott County

Lexington, Ky. – The Lexington Police Department is currently investigating a robbery at gunpoint that occurred early Friday morning. Law enforcement officials were dispatched to Kearney Ridge Blvd. shortly before 2 a.m. after receiving a report from the victim who claimed he was robbed along Georgetown Road.

According to police, the victim was unharmed during the incident. However, information regarding potential suspects remains limited, and no arrests have been made thus far. Authorities acknowledged the difficulty in pinpointing the exact location where the robbery took place, which adds complexity to the investigation.

In a related development, officials with the Scott County Sheriff’s Office reported a potential connection between the robbery and a body found in Scott County. Investigators are working to determine if this discovery is linked to the ongoing robbery case.
