Lexington, a Bluegrass staple, is poised once again to serve up a treat for food enthusiasts during the Lexington Restaurant Week. The event promises a week-long celebration of local cuisine from a selection of 36 restaurants, offering three-course specials at a fraction of their regular prices.
The annual feast was initiated in 2013 and has since created a bonding space for Lexington residents over great local food. Event Coordinator Connie Jo Miller cites the exceptional commitment of the restaurateurs and chefs as a vital ingredient for the event’s success. Lexington boasts a diverse culinary scene with more innovative and independent restaurants than most cities of its size.
Scheduled from July 18-28 this year, the Lexington Restaurant Week features an impressive collection of eateries – from classic restaurants like Merrick Inn, Dudley’s, and Malone’s, to hot spots like Bella Cafe and OBC Kitchen. This year has seen the highest number of participating restaurants in the history of the event, according to Miller.
Allowed to select from menus priced at $25, $35, or $45, customers can savor special meals from each restaurant, some even complemented with a Maker’s Mark cocktail. Customers are advised to make reservations and can preview their choice restaurant’s menu online at lexingtonrestaurantweek.com.
