Lexington, Ky. — An 18-year-old male was arrested on Wednesday following a personal robbery incident on Palumbo Drive. The Lexington Police Department reported that police responded to calls about the robbery at approximately 4:30 p.m.
The suspect, identified as Jamarion Brown, allegedly committed the robbery while armed with a firearm, stealing an undisclosed amount of money from the victim before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.
Officers quickly located Brown’s vehicle, leading to his apprehension. He was arrested and is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
Authorities have charged Brown with several offenses, including first-degree robbery, third-degree fleeing/evading, first-degree trafficking a controlled substance, second-degree trafficking a controlled substance, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, and tampering with physical evidence.
As the investigation continues, no further details regarding the robbery or the victim’s condition have been released by the police.
