Lexington, KY – Brewer Dude, a popular microbrewery and homebrew supply store, has officially reopened at a new location after moving from its previous storefront on Seventh Street. The business, now under new ownership, was acquired by Daniel Cambron and his brother Aaron Cambron, along with their wives, Sydney Norman and Katie Cambron, two months ago.
The new facility is located at 740 National Ave Suite 130, strategically positioned in a bustling restaurant district already featuring other breweries. Among its neighbors are Mirror Twin Brewery and Rolling Oven Pizzeria, within the National Avenue Warehouse Block corridor, which is also home to various eateries and establishments like Epping’s on Eastside and Blue Door Smokehouse.
According to Daniel Cambron, the business originally began as a supply store for home brewers, providing essential ingredients such as grains, yeast, and hops. Over time, Brewer Dude expanded its offerings by acquiring a microbrewery license. However, the former location lacked adequate space, prompting the move.
The renovated taproom at the new location includes seating for approximately 30 customers, allowing patrons to enjoy not just the beer but also cider and other brews crafted in-house. “The whole vibe has been redesigned,” said Cambron. The layout now features a more spacious taproom, making it a true hybrid of a retail store and tasting venue.
Continuing its commitment to home brewers, Brewer Dude will still offer a wide range of supplies, including beer-making kits, specialty grains, and equipment for various fermentation projects such as kombucha and cheesemaking. Cambron elaborated, “Basically, anything fermented.”
Patrons may notice familiar elements within the new space, as some of the bartending equipment and glassware have been purchased from Pivot Brewing, which recently closed its location on Delaware. To enrich its offerings, Brewer Dude will also feature some ciders and brews from Pivot while supplies last.
Operating hours for Brewer Dude are Wednesday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Customers can visit the brewery’s website for more details on products and offerings.
This expansion signifies not only a new chapter for Brewer Dude but also an exciting addition to Lexington’s thriving craft beverage scene.
