Lexington Mayor Announces Plans for 250th Anniversary Celebration in 2025

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Mayor Linda Gorton has unveiled plans for the city’s upcoming 250th anniversary celebration, which will span throughout 2025. The initiative involves the newly formed 250Lex Commission, tasked with organizing a series of events designed to engage the community.

The anniversary festivities will launch with a special New Year’s Eve celebration on December 31, 2024, in downtown Lexington. This event will be free and accessible to all residents and visitors.
