Lexington, Kentucky is bustling with holiday festivities this weekend, offering a range of activities to celebrate the Christmas season.
The highlight of the festivities is “Elf The Musical Jr.”, a stage adaptation of the beloved Christmas movie. The show takes the audience on the journey of Buddy the Elf from the North Pole to New York City. Performances are set for Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., with an additional show on Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are still available online for those looking to enjoy the spirited performance at the Lexington Opera House.
This weekend also marks the return of the 2024 Lexington Holiday Parade, occurring on Saturday at 11 a.m. The parade will feature festive floats, marching bands, and a special appearance by Santa Claus. Starting at Midland Avenue and concluding at Mill Street, the event promises to be a cheerful celebration for families.
