Lexington – The Lexington Police Department is actively searching for a third suspect in a homicide case that occurred on January 19. The suspect, identified as 22-year-old Jeffrey Ollie, has warrants out for his arrest on charges of murder (complicity) and tampering with physical evidence. Authorities have cautioned the public that Ollie is considered armed and dangerous.
Police urge anyone who sees Ollie to immediately contact local law enforcement. The investigation into the homicide, which took place on Fairmont Court, has already led to the arrests of two other suspects. Brooklyn Trigg, 21 years old, and Darrion Saliford, 22 years old, are both charged with murder (complicity) and tampering with physical evidence, and are currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center on a $750,000 bond each.
The victim, identified as Daievyon Elliott, was found shot inside a vehicle located in the back parking lot of a residence on Fairmont Court. Police discovered two types of shell casings at the crime scene, indicating that at least two shooters were involved in the incident. It was revealed through the investigation that Trigg was inside the vehicle during the shooting and reportedly communicated with Ollie shortly after the incident occurred.
Ollie has stated to investigators that both he and Saliford were in the vicinity at the time of the shooting. Surveillance footage from the area captured the suspects’ vehicle arriving before the shooting and fleeing afterward, aiding the police in their investigation.
Both Trigg and Saliford are scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing in Fayette District Court on Thursday. As the search continues for Ollie, the Lexington Police Department is encouraging the public to assist in locating him. Anyone with information about Ollie’s whereabouts can reach out to the Lexington Police Department at 859-258-3600 or submit an anonymous tip to Bluegrass Crime Stoppers at 859-253-2020 or via their website.
The investigation is ongoing as law enforcement seeks to bring all parties involved in this case to justice. Community members are reminded of the seriousness of the situation and the importance of public cooperation in aiding the investigation.
