Law enforcement quickly apprehended the individuals, Jamalachi Taylor and Jaycorion Dawson, after a significant police presence was reported nearby. Authorities are continuing their investigations into both events.

Lexington – Two individuals were arrested on Wednesday afternoon in connection with a bank robbery at Central Bank located on Richmond Road. The robbery took place around 3:30 p.m. in the 2200 block, where the suspect demanded cash and fled the scene in a vehicle with an undisclosed amount of money.

Law enforcement swiftly located the suspect vehicle in the 1000 block of East New Circle Road shortly after the robbery. The suspects have been identified as 21-year-old Jamalachi Taylor and 18-year-old Jaycorion Dawson. Both individuals are currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.

A significant police presence was reported in the area of New Circle Road and Trade Center Drive around 4 p.m., indicating a rapid response to the situation following the bank robbery.

In a related but separate incident, police apprehended Tyler Miller, who was involved in a violent chase that began when Georgetown police assisted the Lexington Police Department in tracking down a “violent felon.” This chase began shortly before 1 p.m. on Wednesday and saw Miller fleeing on a motorcycle before abandoning it and continuing his escape on foot.

Miller was ultimately captured near Newtown Pike and Kennedy Road. He faces several charges, including wanton endangerment, fleeing and evading police, and assault. Following his arrest, Miller attempted to escape from the University of Kentucky Hospital, where he was receiving treatment for injuries sustained during the chase.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in connection with the police chase involving Miller. Law enforcement agencies are continuing their investigations into both incidents, ensuring safety within the community and holding those responsible accountable.

This information is part of a developing news story as further details are awaited. Law enforcement will continue to provide updates as investigations progress.
