Lexington, Ky. — The stage will be alive with magic and artistry as the Lexington Ballet presents eight performances of The Nutcracker from December 13 to 15 and December 20 to 22. This beloved Christmas classic will serve as the opening production for the ballet’s 50th season.
The performances will feature both the Lexington Ballet school students and the professional company, promising an enchanting experience for all attendees. According to Mia Isaac, the CEO of Lexington Ballet, the organization is excited to usher in its milestone year with a commitment to innovative choreography and collaborations that will enrich the community’s cultural landscape.

The Nutcracker is not the only highlight of the Lexington Ballet’s Golden Season. Upcoming productions include “Local Legacy: Celebrating 50 Years of Lexington Ballet with Ben Sollee” on February 21-22, 2025, and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” on April 25-26, 2025. All performances will take place at the iconic Lexington Opera House, a venue that has hosted many of the region’s most celebrated artistic expressions.
