A bit of an unorthodox start to the week in Lexington, as an ambulance found itself in a surprising situation. Yeah, you read that right. An ambulance. The one that’s normally doing the rescuing got tangled up in a minor accident, no injuries reported happily!
Early bird locals reported a minor crash happening on a regular Monday morning, around the 9 a.m. mark. The unusual bit? It was a Lexington ambulance that ended up being involved in this incident. And where did this happen? At none other than the Palomar Centre Drive.
When the news of the minor crash broke out, Lexington Police were dispatched to the scene promptly. Owing to their punctual response, it was established that no one was hurt during the incident – a relief, to say the least!
Nope, that ambulance wasn’t out on a joy ride. It was carrying out its duty, that is, transporting a patient to the hospital when the crash occurred. Thank heavens, it was just a minor accident, and no harm was caused. After reports of the collision started pouring in, another ambulance was dispatched to the scene to take over the transport. Smooth handover, don’t you think?
Well, that was something that doesn’t happen every day, right? It’s almost as if the city started its week saying, “hold my coffee“.
Of course, the incident could’ve had serious ramifications, especially considering the ambulance was, in the midst of carrying out a critical task. But hey, we are grateful that things didn’t escalate and everyone’s safe.
So, that’s the scoop from Lexington today. It was indeed a peculiar way for the city to kickstart the week. An ambulance, typically seen handling emergencies, found itself in a situation that required a bit of rescue itself.
But hey, Lexington being Lexington, didn’t let an ambulance crash, albeit a minor one, disrupt the day. Another rig was dispatched immediately, making sure the patient onboard reached the hospital without much of a hitch. Now, that’s how you bounce back, Lexington style!
All’s well that ends well, they say and today, that’s smack dab spot on. Well, let’s hope the rest of the week in this lively city rolls by smoothly, without any further hiccups. Stay safe, and remember to look out for one other – and that, evidently, includes ambulances too!
