LEXINGTON, Ky. – An 18-year-old man is facing multiple charges following a shooting incident that occurred at a local convenience store. The confrontation took place at the Mini Mart on Anniston Drive just before 3 p.m. on Friday, as police responded to reports of gunfire.
According to law enforcement officials, the altercation involved a store clerk and a customer, which escalated into the firing of shots. Fortunately, no bystanders or individuals were injured during the incident; however, the store clerk sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The suspected shooter, identified as Aubrion Johnson, was taken into custody at the scene. He is now facing several serious charges, including assault, robbery, wanton endangerment, carrying a concealed weapon, and evading arrest. The police have not yet disclosed further details regarding the motive behind the dispute that led to the shooting.
