Candidate B Awaits Turn to Speak at J. David Rosenberg College of Law Open Forum

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 17, 2024) —

Comprehensive National Search Brings Finalists to Campus

In a broad national search, the University of Kentucky will host three finalists, including ‘Candidate B’, with the aspiration of finding a new dean for the J. David Rosenberg College of Law. These finalists, characterized by their stark diversity in professional backgrounds and visions, will interact with the community through a variety of forums and meetings.

Open Forum: An Opportunity for Community Engagement

The J. David Rosenberg College of Law will stage an open forum for ‘Candidate B’ at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 18 at the G. Chad Perry III Grand Courtroom. The University of Kentucky community is urged to participate and offer their feedback. For those unable to attend physically, the forum will be available for viewing on Zoom.

The identities and curriculums vitae of the finalists will be disclosed to the UK community 24 hours before their respective forums on the university’s search website. Subsequent to each forum, a recording of the interaction along with an anonymous online survey to gauge opinions about the candidate will go live on the website.

The search committee, led by UK Provost Robert S. DiPaola, will aid in the selection of the new dean. Following the open forums, feedback received from the committee and the UK community will play a pivotal role in the final decision. The new dean will carry forward the vision of service, inclusivity, and leadership which defines the University of Kentucky.
