Kentucky Wildcats Women’s Basketball Dominates Queens University with 87-45 Victory

Lexington, Ky. – The No. 16 Kentucky Wildcats women’s basketball team improved their record to 8-1 after a decisive victory against Queens University, winning 87-45 on Monday night at Memorial Coliseum. The Wildcats showcased a strong offensive performance, with four players scoring in double figures.

Leading the charge was fifth-year guard Georgia Amoore, who scored 20 points and contributed significantly to the victory. Junior forward Amelia Hassett followed closely, putting up 19 points on an impressive 50% shooting from the field. Notably, Hassett also crossed an important milestone in her career, surpassing 1,000 total points.

Adding to the team’s success, junior forward Teonni Key recorded a double-double with 12 points and a game-high 13 rebounds, solidifying her position as a key player in the lineup.

The Wildcats took control early, establishing a commanding lead that allowed them to dominate throughout the game. This comprehensive win highlights Kentucky’s strong start to the season as they continue to build momentum.

Kentucky will look to maintain their winning streak when they face Purdue on Saturday at 5:00 P.M. EST. The game will be broadcasted on the Big 10 Network. As they prepare for this upcoming match, the Wildcats aim to further solidify their position in the national rankings.
