Public Comment Hearing Scheduled for Kentucky Power’s Energy Efficiency Program Expansion on December 5, 2024

Prestonsburg, Kentucky – The Kentucky Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced a public comment hearing scheduled for December 5, 2024, regarding Kentucky Power Company’s application to expand its energy efficiency programs. The meeting aims to provide local residents with an opportunity to learn about the proposed changes and express their views.

The hearing will take place at 5 p.m. in the Floyd County Fiscal Court Room, located at 149 S Central Avenue, Prestonsburg, Kentucky 41653. Kentucky Power will have a representative on hand to answer questions from the public, ensuring that attendees receive accurate information about the planning and implementation of these programs.

Among the topics to be discussed are Kentucky Power’s targeted energy efficiency program expansions, a new home energy improvement program, and a commercial energy solutions program. Additionally, the PSC is set to review aspects including cost recovery, net lost revenues, and incentives linked to the implementation of demand-side management and energy efficiency initiatives.
