KCTCS Strengthens Leadership with New General Counsel and Chief External Affairs Officer Appointments
Versailles, Ky. – The Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) has recently appointed two new leaders to its senior management team to enhance educational governance and community engagement. Jessica Stigall has taken on the role of general counsel, while Chris Crumrine has been appointed chief external affairs officer.
Stigall brings a wealth of experience to her new position, having previously served at Morehead State University. Her background includes significant legal work in both academia and private practice, where she focused on defending various state institutions. Her expertise will be crucial in navigating the legal aspects of the KCTCS system, ensuring compliance, and supporting the institution’s mission.
Crumrine arrives at KCTCS from the University of Kentucky, where he held the position of senior director for external affairs and engagement in the Office of Government Relations and Public Policy. His extensive background also features leadership roles in the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture and the UK President’s office. His strategic focus on building relationships and fostering partnerships will aid KCTCS in strengthening ties with employers and communities.
President Ryan Quarles emphasized the significance of these appointments, stating that “their experience, leadership, and vision will strengthen our efforts to serve students, employers, and communities across the Commonwealth.” This statement reflects the KCTCS’s commitment to enhancing its educational offerings and community involvement.
The appointments of Stigall and Crumrine come at a crucial time as KCTCS continues to adapt to the evolving educational landscape in Kentucky. Their leadership is expected to drive initiatives aimed at improving student outcomes and expanding access to quality education across the state.
As these two leaders step into their roles, KCTCS looks forward to their contributions toward fulfilling the needs of students and the workforce, ultimately fostering a more educated and skilled population throughout Kentucky.
