Trump Endorses KC Crosbie for RNC Co-Chair Position as She Aims to Unify Party and Support Administration’s Initiatives

Lexington, Kentucky – President-elect Donald Trump has endorsed KC Crosbie, former Lexington councilwoman and current Treasurer of the Republican National Committee (RNC), for the position of co-chair of the RNC. Crosbie announced her intention to seek the co-chair role in an email to party members on Sunday evening.

In her announcement, Crosbie emphasized her commitment to the responsibilities of the position, stating, “This position demands leadership, communication, and the ability to unify our diverse membership while supporting President Trump and his Administration’s bold initiative to ‘Make America Great Again.’” If confirmed for the role, she would succeed Lara Trump, who plans to step down to potentially explore a Senate seat in Florida.

Trump expressed strong support for Crosbie via social media, highlighting her achievements as Treasurer. “KC has served on the RNC with distinction. As Treasurer, she helped the RNC smash every fundraising record in history,” he wrote. “She will work on continuing to ensure a highly functioning, fiscally responsible, and effective RNC that makes Election Integrity a highest priority.” His endorsement reinforced her role as a longstanding ally since the beginning of his campaign.

Kentucky Republican Party Chairman Robert Benvenuti praised Crosbie’s qualifications, emphasizing her ability to champion the America First agenda and her track record of supporting successful conservative candidates. “KC’s intellect, work ethic, passion, and conservative principles will allow her to excel in this critical role,” Benvenuti noted.

Crosbie has a long history in Kentucky politics, having first been elected to the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Council in 2006. She served three terms before running unsuccessfully for Kentucky State Treasurer in 2011. Additionally, she has held the position of finance chairperson for the Kentucky Republican Party until 2014. Her political journey included a bid for lieutenant governor in 2015, when she was part of a campaign that was ultimately defeated in the Republican primary.

Married to Scott Crosbie, who has a legal practice representing local police and corrections unions, KC Crosbie remains actively engaged in political fundraising and community events. In August, she co-hosted a fundraiser for Vice President-elect JD Vance in Lexington.

If officially appointed, Crosbie would work alongside RNC Chairman Michael Whatley from North Carolina, further solidifying her role within a leadership structure focused on maintaining party unity and advancing its agenda in the lead-up to future elections.
