LEXINGTON, Ky. — One man has been arrested on multiple charges following two separate incidents on Tuesday afternoon, as reported by the Lexington Police Department. The suspect, identified as 31-year-old Justin Clark, is facing serious allegations stemming from a burglary and an assault.
The first incident occurred at approximately 12:52 p.m. when police responded to a call about a burglary at a residence located in the 100 block of East Fifth Street. Authorities say that Clark entered the home without permission and fled the scene shortly thereafter.
A few moments later, police received another call indicating a disturbance in the 100 block of DeWeese Street. This call involved allegations that Clark had assaulted two individuals inside the home. Law enforcement quickly located him on DeWeese Street and made the arrest with the assistance of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.
Following his apprehension, Clark was charged with several offenses, including first-degree burglary, fourth-degree assault, second-degree assault, first-degree possession of methamphetamine as a first offense, resisting arrest, and various unrelated warrants.
Clark’s arrest highlights ongoing concerns about crime in the area, as police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding these incidents. The investigation remains active, and authorities urge anyone with additional information related to the case to come forward.
