Lexington, KY – A serious collision on Georgetown Road resulted in one person sustaining life-threatening injuries and three others suffering non-life-threatening injuries on the evening of November 20. The incident involved a pickup truck and a white passenger vehicle and occurred around 5:36 p.m.
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene, where all four individuals injured were passengers in the white vehicle. Among those transported to the hospital, two were juveniles. The driver of the pickup reportedly sustained no injuries.
Following the collision, Georgetown Road was closed in both directions between Sandersville Road and Citation Boulevard, with traffic being diverted as a result. Inbound traffic was rerouted onto Citation Boulevard, while outbound traffic was directed to Sandersville Road.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation by local authorities. No further details have been released regarding the identities of those involved or the circumstances leading to the incident.
As the investigation continues, commuters are advised to seek alternative routes while roads remain closed for the time being.
