This initiative comes in the wake of a reported **13.3% voter turnout** during the 2024 primary elections in Fayette County, according to the Commonwealth of Kentucky State Board of Elections.

Fred Combs, the general manager of Lextran, stated, “Lextran is proud to offer fare-free rides this Election Day. To facilitate travel planning, Fayette County residents can use the address of their polling place to organize a free trip on Lextran’s website.
