Fayette County Clerk’s Office to Close for Election Preparation

Lexington, Ky. – The Fayette County Clerk’s Office will be closed to the public on November 4 and November 5 in preparation for the upcoming elections. This closure is essential to ensure that all clerical staff can assist with election processes.

On November 4, the office will be closed to handle the processing of a significant number of absentee ballots received in advance of Election Day. The closure will also continue through November 5, allowing all employees to focus on monitoring and assisting voters throughout the day.

The Fayette County Board of Elections will operate from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Election Day, ensuring a smooth voting experience. The voting locations will be staffed to assist residents with any questions or issues that may arise.

Normal operations at the Fayette County Clerk’s Office will resume on November 6, when the office will be open to the public once again.

Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly and complete any necessary business with the clerk’s office prior to these closures, especially regarding absentee ballots and related inquiries.
