A heartbreaking incident took place near the intersection of Kentucky Highway 36 and U.S. Highway 42, as an established Carrollton resident lost his life in a fatal accident on Sunday afternoon.

The deceased, identified as 54-year-old Marcos Corchado Castaneda, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Carroll County Coroner’s office following the crash. Around 3:43 p.m., according to police reports, Castaneda, while travelling eastbound on the highway, unfortunately lost control of his vehicle which careened off the shoulder and flipped multiple times.
