Exciting Week of High School and College Basketball Events Set for Lexington, Kentucky

Lexington, Kentucky is poised for an exciting week of high school and college basketball events, featuring a packed schedule running from December 18 through December 24, 2024. Both local teams and visiting competitors will showcase their skills in multiple venues across the city.

The high school basketball scene is particularly vibrant, with several tournaments set to take place. Notable matches include the White, Greer and Maggard Holiday Classic at Lexington Catholic, which features teams like Dixie Heights versus Rockcastle County at 6 p.m., and Martin County facing Lexington Catholic at the same hour. The event continues with matchups such as Christian Academy-Louisville versus Knox Central at 7:45 p.m., and Ryle against Madison Southern at 7:45 p.m.

Another key event is the Central Bank Jim Rose Classic at Lexington Christian, where games will be held throughout the day on December 20. The tournament kicks off with Prestonsburg taking on Boyle County at 3:15 p.m., followed by various matchups leading up to the late evening games that include Madison Central against West Jessamine at 8:30 p.m.

On the college front, the Kentucky women’s basketball team is set to compete against Belmont at Memorial Coliseum on December 21 at 6 p.m., promising a thrilling display of collegiate talent.
