Kentucky State Police Launch Manhunt for Escaped Inmates from Blackburn Correctional Complex

Lexington, Kentucky — Kentucky State Police are currently searching for two inmates who escaped from a state prison on Sunday. The escape occurred at the Blackburn Correctional Complex, located near Lexington.

The two individuals, identified as Adam E. Ball, 38, and Bradley E. Cornwell, 40, managed to flee the facility using a water truck. This incident has raised significant concerns about security protocols at the correctional facility.

Ball is described as a 6’3″, 250-pound white man with blonde hair and blue eyes. At the time of his escape, he was wearing a full-body khaki jumpsuit along with a khaki hat. Ball is originally from Russell Springs.

Cornwell, the second escapee, stands at 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 175 pounds. He has black hair and blue eyes. Cornwell, who hails from Georgetown, was last seen donning a white t-shirt, gray sweatpants, white shoes, and a khaki hat.

Authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant and report any sightings of the escaped inmates. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Ball or Cornwell is urged to contact local law enforcement or call 502-227-2221.

As the manhunt continues, police are implementing enhanced patrols and are working with various law enforcement agencies to capture the fugitives. The police have expressed that community involvement is crucial in ensuring the swift return of the escapees to custody.
